Biography
A.J. Farshchian, MD (born April 2, 1962) is a medical doctor, medical author and humanitarian in Miami Florida. He is director of The Center for Regenerative Medicine, which he founded in 2000 in order to pursue pioneering regimens in the treatment of arthritis and neurodegenerative diseases. He coined the term "orthopedic regenerative medicine" to characterize his groundbreaking work. In 2005 he performed the first autologous stem cell transplantation into an arthritic knee in U.S.A. For the 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics, Farshchian served as consulting Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine physician for the Team USA track-and-field team
