A.J. Farshchian, MD (born April 2, 1962) is a medical doctor, medical author and humanitarian in Miami Florida. He is director of The Center for Regenerative Medicine, which he founded in 2000 in order to pursue pioneering regimens in the treatment of arthritis and neurodegenerative diseases. He coined the term "orthopedic regenerative medicine" to characterize his groundbreaking work. In 2005 he performed the first autologous stem cell transplantation into an arthritic knee in U.S.A. For the 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics, Farshchian served as consulting Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine physician for the Team USA track-and-field team

Denis Barritault graduated in Physics, completed his PhD in biochemistry in Paris University. Post doctoral in molecular immunology at Pasteur Institute and NYU as NIH Fogarty Fellow he joined INSERM unit in Paris as developmental biologist. He made the first description and patents of FGF extracted from retina in 1979 and 82 as skin and cornea healing agent, became full professor at Paris-Est University in 1985, founded and directed a CNRS Laboratory on cell and tissue regeneration until 2003. He is now President of OTR3, Emeritus professor, honorary director of CRRET laboratory, a CNRS unit and author in over 200 publications and 32 patents

Dr. Y. James Kang currently is a China National One-Thousand-Talents Professor and Director of Regenerative Medicine Research Center at Sichuan University, and CEO and Chief Scientist of Revotek Co. He also serves as the Director of Memphis Institute of Regenerative Medicine, Tennessee, USA; the President and CEO of Sichuan 3D Bio-printing Institute; the Director of Sichuan Regenerative Medicine Engineering and Technology Center; the Editor-in-Chief of the journals Cardiovascular Toxicology and Regenerative Medicine Research; and the Editor of the book series of Methods in Pharmacology and Toxicology. His research and biotechnology development interests are in regenerative medicine, focusing on stem cells, 3D bio-printing, and cardiovascular regeneration, as well as dietary manipulation of cardiovascular disease, liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, oxidative stress, and non-human primate models of human diseases.

Dr. Kebret Kebede received his M.D. from Aristotle University in Greece; after specializing in Orthopedics in the UK, he practiced medicine in Europe and the United States. An active scholar, Dr. Kebede has presented his work at the College of Surgeons, the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society, and other international societies. He was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and is a sought-after speaker at international conferences on obesity-associated degenerative joint diseases. As a Biology Professor at NSC, Dr. Kebede draws heavily on his medical experiences to provide students with practical, real-world perspectives on medicine. He helps students understand the mechanics of the human body through intense and thorough study of cadavers as well as associated pathology. Dr. Kebede is deeply committed to providing students with a multicultural education and has presented his work on incorporating diversity into anatomy and physiology education to a national audience. Dr. Kebede is also devoted to giving back to the global community and actively participates in worldwide medical missions aimed at providing much needed medical care to impoverished and underserved communities in developing countries. By bringing NSC students on these medical missions, Dr. Kebede aims to instill this commitment to serving our global community in our future health care providers.

Paul Lucas earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with Dr. Arnold I. Caplan from 1986 to 1987. He was an Associate Professor of Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine. From 1997, he has been Director of Orthopedic Research and Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Associate Professor of Pathology at New York Medical College, Valhalla NY.

L DH Yang graduated from Princeton University with a BS in Biology in 1983, and an MD in 1987. He then completed his residency in general surgery at Eastman Medical Center in Los Angeles. After a brief stint practicing medicine as one of the youngest surgeons licensed by the state of California, he turned towards medical research in hopes of finding treatment for diseases current medicine does not have. Since then, he has published over 200 articles, posters, flyers, and abstracts. In 1990 he was awarded the prestigious Joe E. Dunn prize, and in 1999 he was selected to become a member of mensa. In 2003 he became a full professor at Eastman Medical Center, where he established his laboratory. His lab has made significant advances in the fields of waterball and combat sports medicine and on such diseases as Frink’s disease, which he discovered and later, cured. Currently, he is a visiting professor at the department of regenerative medicine at Springfield Heights Institute of Technology.

Dr. Ethel J. Ngen has expertise in targeted drug delivery systems and bioresponsive molecular sensors for applications in regenerative medicine. She is currently a research faculty member at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. Her research focuses on developing cellular and molecular imaging strategies and drug delivery systems for applications in regenerative medicine and in oncology. A major component of her research focuses on developing molecular imaging biosensors for tracking cell-based therapies. Prior to joining the faculty at Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Ngen received her Ph.D. in organic/medicinal chemistry from the South Dakota State University’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, where her Ph.D. research focused on developing targeted drug delivery systems for applications in oncology. She then pursued post-doctoral training in cellular and molecular imaging, at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, before joining the faculty

Dr Helieh S. Oz has a DVM and MS (U. IL), PhD (U. MN) and clinical translational research certificate (U. KY Med Center). Dr Oz is an active member of American Association of Gastroenterology (AGA) and AGA Fellow (AGAF). Dr Oz is an immuno-microbiologist and pathologist with expertise in inflammatory and infectious diseases, signal transduction, pathogenesis, innate and mucosal Immunity, micronutrient and drug discovery. Dr Oz has over 90 publications in the areas of chronic inflammatory disorders (pancreatitis, hepatitis, colitis, periodontitis), microbial and infectious diseases, signalling pathways and tissue repair. I completed my postgraduate studies in Leeds and then went onto my MSc and PhD, which were funded by M&S and their suppliers. I completed my PhD in 1986 and became a lecturer in clothing at Bradford, and then became a fellow of the Science and Technology Agency in Japan in 1991 before returning to Bradford in 1992. I obtained my personal chair in industrial engineering systems at Bradford in 1994 whilst continuing research in textile objective measurement applied at the textile and clothing interface. In 1999 I joined the School of Textiles and Design as Professor of Textiles and I’m currently Director of TechniTex and the Faraday Partnership in Technical Textiles. I have always been interested in the interface between textiles and clothing from a number of aspects and have centered the majority of my research around this area, bringing in sensors, control engineering and machine design.
